Create an account and you’ll have a test key in a minute. A test key returns fictional data — made-up practices, marked [TEST], in three made-up cities — so you can build against every endpoint and error for free. It never returns a real price. Live keys, which do, unlock once an admin accepts the terms and adds a card.

Each tool bills as the operation it performs: a price or benchmark lookup as a Read, a gathering request as a price request. The others are free.

Per operation

A Read is a successful live call to Get prices or Compare (or an MCP price tool) that returns data — at least one price, or a distribution. Each page (up to 20 results) is a Read; summary.count tells you how many pages a query has. Empty results, errors, and identical calls within 60 seconds are not Reads.

A completed price request is one that obtains a price. It is not billed if we obtain no quote, if the only quote is an add-on on its own (such as skin testing priced per antigen with no consult price), or if the only quote is outside the reasonable band of prices for that service in that or comparable markets.

Charged daily: shortly after midnight US Eastern, for the previous day's usage. New accounts are capped at $500 a month until the first invoice is paid. Test keys are never billed. Billing guide
